2010
- David tested a Formula Palmer Audi car in March, 2009. After his test, the official FPA feedback suggested "We expect him to be well within the top ten and potentially challenging for podiums and race wins."
2006 - 2009
Through 2006 and 2009, David has been racing in several online simulation (sim) racing championships using rFactor. While merely a substitute for real racing, David has solidifed his reputation was one of the world's best sim racing drivers. Along the way he has raced against, and beaten, real racers who also indulge in sim racing as a hobby.
- David kicked off 2009 with a handful of online wins in rFactor race events hosted by rFactorCentral and Race.Me. These wins netted nearly $1500 in prize money.
- David won several online racing competitions in 2008, including the rFO Italia racing league which earned him a 10-minute drive in a Formula 3 car against current GP2 driver Marco Bonanomi. See TV highlights of David's Adria experience on YouTube.
- He also won a round of the Virtual World Touring Car Championship held in by racing simulation developer SimBin and the World Touring Car Championship. Read more...
- Winner of three hotlap competitions in exhibitor simulators at the Bologna Motor Show in December, 2007
- Finished second in the 2007 Formula SimRacing World Championship-the premier online championship-with four race wins.
- Led Team Italy to the win in the Armaroli Sim Racing World Cup with wins in five of the nine races.
